Monica Praises Asda on New Community Projects

Monica has praised the work of eight Asda stores across the Central Scotland region who have awarded 23 local groups with funding totalling £14,512 in a parliamentary motion.

The Asda Foundation is a charitable company that provides a range of grants to good causes across Scotland. Each project is nominated by the people and communities served by the store and is a way for Asda to give back to the local communities that support them.

Last year the Asda Foundation invested more than £800,000 in community projects and good causes in Scotland that have made a real difference to the wider community. Monica witnessed the hard work of local community champions in an advice surgery hosted in Asda Coatbridge, where she met Community Champion Ann Binks who has worked tirelessly to support the Tickled Pink campaign along with many local initiatives. Monica looks forward to hosting a further Supermarket Advice Surgery in Asda Hamilton on the 20th of this month.
